Terms and Conditions

Booking:
Once we have received a booking request, we will then request a deposit of 30% in order to be able to reserve the cottage for you. On receipt of the deposit, we will issue you with a booking confirmation.

The balance of the cost of your holiday should be paid 6 weeks before arrival or if booking within 6 weeks of your holiday start date, payment should be made in full when making the booking.

You can either transfer the money using internet banking or send us a cheque. We are sorry but we do not currently have the facilities to accept Credit Cards.

Cancellation:
Should you cancel your holiday after booking has been accepted you will remain liable for the full cost of your holiday unless we can re-let the property. In which case we will reimburse you half of the deposit.

On leaving:
Guests are asked to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition, as it was on arrival. If any items are accidentally broken or damaged we kindly ask you to notify the proprietors. Should your cottage not be left in the condition you found it on arrival, Finnich Cottages reserves the right to charge a cleaning fee of up to £50 and/or a damages fee up to replacement value.

Personal property, vehicles and boats:
Accessories and contents are left at your own risk. Finnich Cottages will not be held responsible for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.

Smoking:
Please note that in the interests of health and safety smoking is strictly prohibited inside.

Any shortcomings:
We reserve the right not to hand over accommodation to any person/s who in our opinion is:-

not suitable to take charge – in such case all hire monies will be refunded in full and the contract discharged or,
not suitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behavior, damage to property or annoyance to other holiday makers – in which case a proportionate refund of the period remaining will be made, and the contract discharged.

We also reserve the right to enter any accommodation under special circumstances or emergencies.
